ICAS / TodaysArt co-production CineChamber at MUTEK Montreal

We are honoured that this week (from May 22 – June 3) at MUTEK 2012 in Montreal the North American festival debut takes place of the Recombinant Media Labs’ (RML) CineChamber, a 10-screen installation lab site for trailblazing panoramic performance. This curated, nomadic intermodal platform is made possible by the artistic direction of Naut Humon plus tech-operations directors Vance Galloway and Barry Threw. For MUTEK the CineChamber has chosen two types of presentations. The five PANORAMA programs are actually blocks of hour long modules or screenings captured from live artist residencies or concerts plus studio source sessions of the recent years. The LIVE modules on the other hand are drawn from the festival guests who are appearing themselves in the CineChamber as performers who navigate the space as an audio optical instrument or as music instrumentalists in analog or digital real time formations.

The CineChamber project has been commissioned by the International Cities of Advanced Sound and related arts (ICAS) network as part of the Tools for an Unknown Future project, of which TodaysArt is a co-founding member.
