TodaysArt.NL Festival relocates to the seaside and harbor of Scheveningen and reveals first program details for its tenth edition

This year marks the tenth anniversary of TodaysArt, the international festival for contemporary visual and performing arts and e-culture in the Netherlands. TodaysArt takes place from the 25th to the 27th of September, with a program on the junction between past and future consisting of music, performances, installations, club nights, exhibitions and the ‘Bright Collisions’ Summit that will launch prior to the main festival dates.

In the context of the tenth edition, TodaysArt will relocate the entire festival from The Hague’s city center to the seaside and harbor of Scheveningen Haven where a variety of venues and public spaces will form the infrastructure. TodaysArt director Olof van Winden about the move to this new environment; “It provides us with endless poetic possibilities. The seaside and the harbor, the natural versus the industrial elements, tourism and maritime activity all mainly controlled by technology and driven by data and systems inspired us greatly to realize a very ambitious program. The move to Scheveningen Haven perfectly symbolizes our international network and activities, our desire for the ‘endless sea’, the ‘setting sail’ of the organization and The Hague as its ‘home port’”.

TodaysArt invites some of today’s leading creators and thinkers from all over the world to develop and present performances, works and projects in an extensive transdisciplinary program that includes a large number of exclusives and premieres. With only the first details announced, this edition already promises to become the most exceptional and inspiring festival to date.
