We are beyond excited to announce that next week the pilot edition of TodaysArt.jp will take place in Tokyo from 22nd to 24th November. This event is brought to you by local Japanese organizations, entrepreneurs and partners with the ambition to introduce a new urban festival format in Japan and to develop an annual TodaysArt festival in Tokyo and extending to other Japanese cities.

TodaysArt.jp Edition Zero will take place in Warehouse TERRADA located on Tokyo’s Tennoz Isle. TERRADA’s facilities around in this area will be transformed for performance and exhibition programs and talk sessions. The facilities include large-scale warehouse area along a canal, “Bond Street,” the center of re-development of Tennoz, and an unused office space. The installations and performances in these previously off limits buildings will give the audience a most amazing experience.

The performance program consists of Timeline, the latest live mutation of Underground Resistance accompanied with a dj set by Mark Flash and the Japanese premiere of Canto Ostinato Audio Visual. There will be a freely accessible exhibition program consisting of installations, screenings and public space interventions by Skeletonics inc.Matthijs Munnik, Gabey Tjon a Tham, Joris Hoogeboom & Teun VerkerkLernert & Sander, Anouk De Clercq and other artists.

TodaysArt would like to thank Warehouse TERRADA Co.,Ltd., the Creative Industries Fund NL, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tokyo, the U.S. Embassy in Japan, The Nippon Foundation, the Japan Media Arts Festival, and all productional and technical partners for playing a key role in the realization of this pilot edition of TodaysArt.jp.
